The EMA mobile app remotely and continuously assesses children's psychological and physiological conditions, provides stress reduction courses, and uses non-drug intervention methods to early treat and prevent children's mental and psychological problems and relieve children's stress and emotional symptoms.

About this app

This program is divided into two stages. In the first stage, children and parents need to conduct two face-to-face assessments, respectively at baseline and post-assessment (one month after the baseline assessment). During this period, children need to wear a specific electronic watch for seven consecutive days and fill out a simple questionnaire on a mobile phone program every day to collect signals displayed by the child's physiological condition. At the same time, we will also use mobile apps to evaluate children’s mental health symptoms, cognitive functions, physical fitness and mobile application usage.

If a child is found to be at potential mental health risk during the first phase, the child will be invited to participate in the second phase of the study. At this stage, an integrated stress reduction course (iMBE) based on a mobile phone application will be used to allow children to understand emotions and learn skills to deal with emotions to relieve tension and negative emotions. Comprehensive stress reduction courses include mental health knowledge, emotional processing skills, and moderate exercise.
