TN Soils is an initiative to provide detailed information on the Soils of Tamil Nadu and its related fertilizer recommendations to the Farmers, Scientists, Extension workers and policy makers at their door step. Soil Resource mapping at series level was carried out by the Department of Remote Sensing and GIS, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu for whole of the state.Detailed profile studies were carried out with analysis of the soil, for its physical, physio-chemical and Hydrological properties differentiating into soil series.
These information available with the Department and new information generated then and there are updated and provided to the users.
