Works and blessings of Surah Anfal1) Overcoming the enemy:
On the authority of Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him):
Imam Sadegh (as) said: ... And whoever writes Surah Anfal and ties it to his arm, because he goes to a ruler to get his right and his need is met, and whoever disputes with him, he will be victorious and happy, and he will be like a fence. Be strong for him.

2) To get rid of prison:
It is narrated from Imam Sadegh (as): Whoever is imprisoned with faith or is caught by an oppressor, because he recites Surah Anfal 7 times with pure intention and attention to God and its meaning, should be freed.
3) For happiness and joy:
وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللّهُ لاِلاَّ بُشْرَى وَلِتَتْمَئِنَّ بِهِ قُلُوبُکُم

Everyone should write these verses on three pieces of cloth on the first Friday of Ramadan between the noon and evening prayers when he is clean: one is green, one is yellow and the other is red. And he has them with him. Everyone who sees him becomes a friend.
5) Treatment of stinginess and hardness of heart:
نِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ ذِذَا ذُكِرَ اللّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَمْهْ ْ
Anyone with faith wants the hardship of his heart to disappear and stinginess to come out of his heart and to be obedient to obedience and good deeds. Surah al-Anfaal (The Spoils of War)
This Surah was revealed in Madinah and it has 75 verses. In the commentary of Majma'ul Bayaan, it is narrated from Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (as) that whoever recites Surah al-Anfaal and Surah at-Tawba every month, he will be protected from being a hypocrite and will be counted among the followers of Ameerul Mu'mineen - Imam Ali (as), and on the day of Qiyamah he will eat from the table-spread of Jannah together with all the followers of Ahlul Bayt.
This Surah contains the verse about khums, which is the right of the Ahlul Bayt. The Holy Prophet (S.) said that he will, on the Day of Judgment, intercede for the person who recites this Surah and will bear witness that the reciter of this Surah was free from hypocrisy. Keeping Surah al-Anfaal in your possession at all times ensures that you get your rights that have been taken from you and your legitimate desires are fulfilled.
