MEDICAL CARE FOR YOUR CHILD AT HOME OR ON THE GO.Quick Care Online connects Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics primary care patients with a board-certified pediatric medical provider through video on a mobile phone, mobile device or compatible computer from 8 am – midnight, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Quick Care Online is currently available to patients with an Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics primary care provider.
Through Quick Care Online, our health care providers can diagnose, recommend treatment and prescribe medication online, if medically necessary, for many health issues, including:
• Allergies
• Cold and flu symptoms
• Sore throat and stuffy nose
• Ear infections
• Poison ivy
• Pink eye
• Bronchitis
• Urinary tract infections
• Respiratory infections
• Sinus problems
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Request a consult: Open the Akron Children’s Quick Care Online app and request a virtual consult, provide a medical history and pay for the online health consult. Your account is also available online at www.akronchildrens.org/quickcareonline.
Talk to a provider: Within minutes, a state-licensed health care provider will review your medical history and contact you on your mobile phone, mobile device or compatible computer. Teladoc consults have no time limit; you can speak to the provider for as long as you’d like.
Pick up a prescription: The provider will discuss the medical issue with you, answer your questions and recommend next steps. If medically necessary, a prescription can be submitted to a local pharmacy of your choice.
HOW DO I GET AKRON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL QUICK CARE ONLINE?
Akron Children’s Quick Care Online is a service provided only to established patients in the Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics primary care network. Those who do not currently have an Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics primary care provider can be notified when the service is available by completing this online form.
