About this app

The Hanbali Madhab is one of the four major Sunni Islamic legal schools of thought, the others being the Hanafi, Maliki, and Shafi'i Madhabs. It is named after Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (780-855 CE), a prominent Islamic scholar and jurist from Baghdad, Iraq. The Hanbali Madhab is known for its adherence to the Quran, Sunnah (traditions and practices of the Prophet Muhammad), and the opinions of the Sahabah (companions of the Prophet).

Fiqh, on the other hand, refers to Islamic jurisprudence, which is the understanding and interpretation of Islamic law and its practical application in various aspects of life. Fiqh is derived from primary sources, namely the Quran and Sunnah, and secondary sources such as the consensus of scholars (ijma) and analogical reasoning (qiyas).

Strict adherence to the Quran and Sunnah
Rigorous use of Hadith
Conservative approach
Limited use of Qiyas (analogical reasoning)
Emphasis on Ijma (consensus)
Reverence for the Salaf (pious predecessors)
Pragmatism and consideration of local customs
Independence of opinion
Focus on worship and spirituality
Influence in the Arabian Peninsula
