By playing you advance a scientific research project from a French oceanography laboratory which studies the effects of climate change on marine ecosystems.

Plankton is both an indicator and a vital link in ocean health. By playing, you allow researchers to closely follow its evolution and understand its variations in abundance and diversity. This is a major issue for ecology, biogeochemistry and climatology.

Via a simple game mechanic (linking similar images together), you identify the different organisms present in the samples that Professor JO and his team have entrusted to us. By mass and statistical effect, all the players categorize, little by little, the hitherto “anonymous” plankton. This identification is the first essential step for scientific teams in their research.
