Fasting of food or water or other food or all these for the purpose of achieving a purpose is called fast.
Fasting to complete a task is also called fast.
The work done with willpower is called fast.
A man gets pleasure from the conduct of virtue and sorrow from the conduct of sin. Every creature in the world wants to attain its favorable happiness and to recover its adverse sorrow. Knowing this human condition, the Rishimunis engaged in Trikala Yajna and Paritha, after assimilating the Vedas, Puranas, Smriti and all the essays, have said many measures for the attainment of happiness and retirement of grief for the welfare of human beings. Fasting and fasting are the best and easy remedies among those measures. After examining those organs, it appears that fasting is also a major part of the fast. That is why at many places it has been said that fasting and fasting are related to mutual angst. The law of fasting is seen in the conduct of many fasts.

Fasting is considered the means of religion. All religions of the world have adopted fast and fast in one form or the other. The conduct of the fast leads to the destruction of sins, rise of virtue, purification of body and mind, attainment of desired desire and peace and attainment of ultimate effort. In many types of fasts, the first form of fasting worshiped by the Veda is seen. Legislative fire is necessary before this worship. After Agniparigraha, there is a law to sacrifice Pournamas first by fasting. He gets the right to start this yagya when he performs the prescribed fast before the yag. If the worshiper did not perform the necessary fasting rituals and did not follow his organ rules, then the gods would not accept the devotion made by him.

The deities are always truthful on the basis of Brahmana. That is why the Gods always prefer to be indirect to humans. At the time of fasting, the worshiper makes a fervent prayer to his adorable Agnidev- "I will conduct the fast in a lawful manner, leaving falsehood and always obeying the truth." By reciting the Vedic mantra indicating this above meaning, he invokes the committee in the fire. On that day he obeys all the necessary rules of eating Havishyan only once in Ahoratra, sleeping at night on the land covered with grass and observance of unbroken celibacy.
