The Wird tidjaniya

It is based on 23 conditions:
1. The Mouqadem which gives affiliation must be consecrated in its function by the founding Sheikh or by one of his notorious representatives.
2. The candidate for Tarîqa Tidjaniya must not have the prayers of other spiritual masters. He is not allowed to have another path and other wirds along with this one.
3. Prohibition to visit living or dead saints, but obligation to have the greatest consideration and respect towards them.
4. The fulfillment of the five prayers, in their time, in a group, if possible, and respect for Sharia.
5. We must love the Sheikh with a powerful love until death as well as his successor
6. Mistrust of the cunning of Allah.
7. He will never insult or show hatred or enmity towards the Sheikh.
8. Endurance in performing Tidjani prayers until the end of his life.
9 & 10. The need to believe and to refrain from criticism.
11. No unaffiliated person should recite prayers without special permission from a Muqadem or Chouyoukh Tidjani.
12. Get together for the recitation of the Wadhifa, and every Friday evening (after the ‘Asr prayer) at the solemn meeting to recite the Heïlala.
13. One should never recite Jawaratoul Kamal without ritual ablution and the necessary conditions.
14. Never sever your ties with anyone and especially with the Co-disciples.
15. We must avoid any negligence in the practice of prayers, such as performing them outside their legal time without a valid excuse (or something of the like).
16. One should not give permission to others to recite the Tidjani prayers without having the authentic authorization to legitimize this act.
17. Respect all people affiliated with the Sheikh (may Allah be pleased with him) and especially the great dignitaries of this path.
18 & 19. Cleanliness of body and clothes if possible.
20. It is necessary to sit towards the Qibla during the recitation of the prayers except in the case of foreseen exceptions, such as the trip (even if it is close), the sitting in a group.
21. Never interrupt the recitation for other words except in cases of force majeure.
22. Visualize the image of the guide facing you from the beginning of Dhikr to the end.
23. Try to understand the meaning of what you are reciting, or failing that, distinguish the sounds of the recitation.
