Therefore, the Muslim should strive hard during the last ten days of Ramadan, and spend the night praying, reciting the Qur’an, supplicating and seeking forgiveness, secluding himself in the mosque if he is able, and marking the Night of Destiny with goodness and obedience.
Recommended actions in Ramadan
Ramadan is the month of good deeds and more acts of worship. In it, good deeds are multiplied and bad deeds are erased, and in it souls race to heaven. Among the recommended deeds in Ramadan are:
- Reading, contemplating, memorizing and reciting the Qur’an, for it is healing, mercy, guidance and light, and it is the month of its revelation and month.
- Supplication, seeking forgiveness, praising Allah, saying takbir, praising Him, and praying upon the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, are among the best and most beloved remembrances to God, and they raise ranks, remove worries, and open doors.
- Charity, zakat, and spending for the sake of God are among the greatest and most beneficial acts of charity for the poor, the needy, and the needy. They extinguish the wrath of the Lord, atone sins, increase sustenance, and ward off calamity.
- Breaking the fast with the fasting people, feeding them and giving them drink, is one of the most beautiful and noble deeds, and it brings reward, love and blessings. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: (Whoever breaks the fast for a fasting person will have a reward similar to his reward, except that it does not detract from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest)⁴.
