This Android application is a Fine Arts Teacher's Guidebook for Elementary School Class 6 Independent Curriculum. In Pdf format.Basically, fine arts education is provided in schools with the aim of cultivating sensitivity to a sense of beauty (aesthetics) and artistry which is expected to form students' creative, appreciative and critical attitudes. In order to achieve this goal, fine arts education is carried out through learning which is carried out involving knowledge and skills obtained from daily experience, a willingness to continue learning, and observation of the immediate environment. It is hoped that this pattern will give rise to contextual fine arts learning.
In a broader scope, fine arts education is expected to have a multilingual, multidimensional and multicultural nature. Multilingual means that students must be able to express themselves creatively, in various ways and media and various combinations thereof. Multidimensional means that various student competencies which include conception of knowledge, understanding, analysis, evaluation, appreciation and creation must continue to be developed by harmoniously combining elements of aesthetics, logic, kinesthetics and ethics. Finally, the multicultural nature means that fine arts education must be able to develop students' awareness and ability to appreciate various Indonesian and foreign cultures.
This guidebook attempts to accommodate these various expectations. It is also hoped that this book will be able to facilitate art as a basis for education, as well as the educational process through art. This book emphasizes learning more in terms of process than results. Participants are not required to be good at drawing, painting or sculpting like an artist, but rather as a vehicle for students to express and imagine, create, recreate and appreciate.
It is not an easy task for a teacher to make fine arts education capable of training rational and emotional balance, intellect and sensibility in the framework of a harmonious personality.
