Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy by William Shakespeare of 1597. It tells the story of two young lovers who, despite the opposition of their families, rivals to each other, decide to marry clandestinely and live together; However, the pressure of that rivalry and a series of fatalities lead to the couple choosing suicide rather than living separately. The death of both, however, involves the reconciliation of the two families.
