About this app
The Reverse Geocaching app offers the possibility to find reverse caches without using the "The Reverse Cache - beta" Wherigo® cartridge created by Waldmeister or the "ReWind" Wherigo® cartridge created by Technetium.It allows you to use the same 3 codes as used for the "Waldmeister" cartridge or the code used for the "ReWind" cartridge, so enabling you to directly use this app.
Functionality:
* Manage (add/remove) Reverse (Geo)caches
* See details of added caches, including the number of attempts and for solved caches the end coordinates
* Find reverse caches by requesting "hints". The type of "hints" given depends on the specified code:
- standard (Waldmeister): distance to reverse cache
- ReWind: direction (North, East, South, West), Warm/Cold, distance or bearing
These hints will be given until you are close enough (by default 20 meters), after which it will provide you with the final coordinates
* Generate standard (Waldmeister) and ReWind codes based on the specified coordinates (useful for cache owners). These generated codes can easily be copied or shared to prevent errors.
* Open a geocache directly in the Geocaching® app when the Geocaching® app is installed on the same device (if not the default browser will be opened with the geocache selected on geocaching.com)
When, while adding a new reverse cache, a GC-code is entered and the Geocaching® app is installed on your phone or tablet, it is possible to open the Geocaching® app with the specified geocache selected. This makes it easier to log your (hopefully found) geocache.
