Detailed Description

Historically, the institution for research and development at the Ministry of Religion existed in 1975 through the Decree of the Minister of Religion (KMA) Number 18 of 1975 which regulated the formation of the Religious Research and Development Agency.

This KMA refers to Presidential Decree Number 44 of 1974 concerning Departmental Organizational Principles, and Presidential Decree Number 45 of 1974 concerning the Organizational Structure of Departments. Its duties and functions are the preparation of data and information on draft policies.

The dynamics of the kelitbangan unit came when the KMA No. 1 of 2001 on the Position, Duties, Functions, Authority, Organizational Structure and Work Procedure of the Ministry of Religion was implemented. This KMA regulates the organizational structure that was previously known as the Religious Research and Development Agency, into the Religious Research and Development Agency and Religious Education and Training. In accordance with KMA, the flying unit is combined with the education unit which was originally in the Secretariat General.

After changing its name, the Religious Research and Development Agency and Religious Education and Training have the function of carrying out research and development in the field of religion and religion, as well as carrying out education and training for employees of the Ministry of Religion.

Changes in structure and nomenclature occurred again when the Regulation of the Minister of Religion (PMA) Number 3 of 2006 concerning Organization and Work Procedure of the Ministry of Religion was implemented. At this PMA, the organization changed its name to the Research, Development and Training Agency.

In this PMA, the task of the Research and Development and Training Agency is to carry out research and development as well as education and training in the religious field based on the policies stipulated by the Minister of Religion. The position of the Research and Development and Training Agency is getting stronger with the issuance of PMA Number 10 of 2010 concerning the Organization and Work Procedure of the Ministry of Religion.

VISION AND MISSION

The vision of the Research and Development and Training Agency of the Ministry of Religion for the period 2015-2019 is

"The realization of Research and Development-Based Policy Formulation Materials, and the Availability of Professional Human Resources in the Ministry of Religion"

To achieve this vision, the Research and Development and Education and Training Agency develops the following missions:

Improve the quality of research results and development of religious life;
Improve the quality of research results and development of religious and religious education;
Improving the quality of the results of research and development of religious literature and treasures;
improve the quality of research results and development of literature and religious education treasures;
Improve the quality of recitation, study, and socialization of the Mushaf Al-Qur'an and optimization of the Bayt Al-Qur'an Museum and Istiqlal Museum;
Improve the quality of human resources through education and training for administrative personnel;
Improve the quality of human resources through education and training for religious education and technical personnel;
Improve the quality of governance of the Ministry of Religion's Research and Development and Training Agency; and
Improve institutional networks.
