Detailed Description

Otonometer provides users with accurate information about financial, economic and statistical indicators from 549 regions - provinces, districts and cities – in Indonesia. The historical data we provide is obtained from official government sources, both through open data initiatives and official publications, including the Ministry of Finance, Central Statistics Agency and Regional Government.

We developed 4 modules, namely Exploring, Tinkering, Reflecting and Lens so that users can explore regional data factually and visually. Through Explore, users can see the ranking of a region both nationally and at the provincial level. by comparing Financial, Economic and Statistical indicators. Users can compare these indicators visually between districts or cities within one province via the Tinkering module. Next, users can compare regional indicators between provinces through the Reflecting Module module. Finally, through the Lens module, we want to give users the opportunity to provide input about the potential and performance of the region to make it better and more advanced.

Our goal through the Otonometer application is to provide information to the wider public to better understand the potential and performance of each region. We also want the information to be used for academic research in research and educational institutions. Apart from that, we hope that this information will be used as input for regional governments in developing policies that increase regional independence. We also want to help businesses understand and forecast trends and identify investment opportunities from these areas.

In the future, we will enrich indicators that are not limited to the scope of Finance, Economics and Statistics only.

Otonometer does not represent any government agency of the Republic of Indonesia. Otonometer is managed by a legal entity in the form of an independent company, PT Semesta Indonesia Teknologi Lestari, which is officially registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.
