In the month of August 1993 the first broadcasts of Radio Cidade 94.5 FM went live. The history of the broadcaster that covers various cities of Minas Gerais is a true archive of the life of our people.

The communication vehicle was born with the radio name Educadora FM de porteirinha, a neighboring municipality, to which the station belonged before the political-administrative emancipation of the host city Nova porteirinha.
