This book is a summary of the big book Encyclopedia of Islamic Fiqh – which we have written, bi idznillah – with a few changes, to suit the discussion of Islamic jurisprudence for Muslim women. What prompted us to compile this book was the desire to make a summary of Islamic jurisprudence and at the same time the desire to produce a fiqh book specifically related to Muslim women.
It is hoped that this book will become a concise but solid fiqh book, making it easy for Muslim women to learn and practice.
We deliberately do not include the arguments that underlie each discussion, except only in the form of references in the form of footnotes. We intend this to summarize the discussion and make it easier to build a reader's frame of mind in understanding the material discussed. If readers want to know the detailed arguments for each discussion, then readers can refer to the large book of Encyclopedia of Islamic Fiqh or refer directly to the reference address listed in the footnote.
There are several fiqh discussions that we deliberately do not include, because they are not directly related to Muslim fiqh, including; chapters of the Adhan, Friday Prayers, Khauf Prayers, hunting, and Inheritance. For readers who want to learn more about this problem, please see it in the Encyclopedia of Islamic Fiqh.
