Driver X is a streamlined app designed specifically for employees(truck drivers) of transportation companies involved in container logistics. The app provides an intuitive interface that allows truck drivers to easily view, manage, and complete their daily tasks related to container pickups and drop-offs. The app is only to be used by employees for whom an account will be created.

- Task Management and Information:
The app provides users with essential task details, including pick-up/drop-off locations, client information, and the type of task/assignment. It receives and displays each task along with comprehensive information, making it easier for users to manage their responsibilities.
- Seamless Data Sharing:
Users can easily share trip-related data, such as current time, location, cargo status, container number, and the pick-up/drop-off locations (for shipping containers). Status updates, like whether the cargo is loaded or unloaded, can be sent with just the push of a button. These updates are often required by the customer (e.g., MSC, CMA, ONE, SHIPPEX), and must be sent manually if the app is not used. Additionally, necessary documents and pictures can be uploaded directly through the app using a simple form, significantly simplifying the driver's task.
- Real-Time Updates and Improved Safety:
The trip's status is updated in the office backend, where the linked Transportation Management System (TMS) is refreshed semi-real-time (every 10-15 minutes). During the trip, drivers no longer need to make phone calls to receive new assignments, or provide location or estimated time of arrival (ETA) updates, which improves safety by reducing distractions while driving.
- Location Tracking and Privacy:
The app clearly indicates that the user is being tracked, with a notification of the app running in the background and a convenient ON-OFF slider to activate or deactivate the location tracking. Location tracking is only activated when the app is in use, and it is a core feature for operational visibility in logistics. Privacy is a priority, and location data is used only and strictly for logistical purposes and only linked to the specific TMS of the client the user/driver is working for.

Tracing can be turned off at any time using the slider on the hompage of the app, or the user can log out or close the app entirely. If location tracking is disabled with the slider, the app will continue to receive assignments and function normally, but location updates will not be registered an cannot be sent to the backend or the TMS. If the app is interrupted by a phone call, it will continue to operate without disruption. Drivers can log off or kill the app whenever they choose.
