Ship is an ad-free file transfer app with an elegant user interface. Share your files confidently with speeds over 40 Mbps, that too without mobile data!

We strongly believe that ads are an incursion to a good user experience, hence we have kept Ship completely ad-free. That means Ship comes with a simple, elegant UI, which lets you easily navigate through your files. We also have a firm stance on user privacy, which means, we never collect any personal information. We went a step ahead and implemented privacy warnings, whenever there is data that needs to be transmitted over the internet - such as showing geolocation from an image on a map.

We told you that Ship is elegant and fast, but there’s a lot more to Ship than just sharing files. Here’s a complete list of all the things Ship can do.

⭐️ Drag selection: Long press and drag over the files to select them.
⭐️ Bulk delete: Delete all selected files with breeze.
⭐️ Folder share: Select a folder and Ship will select all files within it.
⭐️ Auto-organise received files: Organises received files into Pictures, Movies, Music, Downloads folders by the type.
⭐️ Import files: Import files from services like Google Drive and Google Photos. Head over to Files tab and click on the import icon from the toolbar.
⭐️ QR code connect: Point and connect to sender hotspot using QR code.
⭐️ Prioritise transfers: Send select files quickly by prioritising transfers.
⭐️ Pause transfers: Pausing transfers can be handy and it can speed up other transfers.
⭐️ Cancel transfers: Swipe left to cancel any transfer that you might have started accidentally.
⭐️ Built-in video player: Play your videos right from the app with controls such as fast forward, rewind and playback speed.
⭐️ Picture-in-picture mode: On Android 8+, enjoy the PIP mode in the built-in player for background playback.

Ship shares the files by creating a local WiFi hotspot from your device. This requires few permissions from the user.

🔐 WiFi: Allows creation of local WiFi hotspot to transfer the files over it.
🔐 Storage: Access to the files stored on your phone and SD card (optional) to send and receive files.
🔐 Location: Required for discovering nearby devices. We don’t store this location anywhere, and we recommend that you choose “Allow only while using the app” option.
🔐 Camera: Scanning QR code leverages the camera.
🔐 Modify Settings: Required only on Android 6 and 7. Due to Android restrictions for creating WiFi hotspot, we need this permission to write hotspot settings.
